AI APPLICATIONS

AI applications, integrations and chatbots

Most AI features demo well and fail quietly. The difference is almost never the model: it is the retrieval, the evals, the guardrails and the monitoring around it. I build the parts that were never intelligent, because they are what make the intelligent part safe to use.

Who this is for

  • Product teams adding an AI feature that has to work on real customer data
  • Companies with a corpus nobody can search: documents, tickets, contracts, research
  • Anyone whose prototype impressed the room and then fell over in production

What you get

  • Retrieval that finds the right passage, tested against the questions you actually get asked
  • Answers grounded in your sources, with citations a user can click and check
  • An eval suite, so changing a prompt or a model is measured rather than hoped about
  • Guardrails and fallbacks for the cases where the model is wrong
  • Cost and latency visible per request, rather than discovered on the invoice
  • The source code, the infrastructure, and a handover your team can run

What it costs

Fixed scope and a fixed price, both agreed in writing before anything starts. If your project sits between two of these, it gets its own number.

  • One integration, shipped

    from€4 000

    1–2 weeks

Best when a single AI feature is standing between you and a release.

    Includes

    • A model wired into the system you already run
    • Prompts, retries and fallbacks handled properly
    • Cost and latency instrumented from the start
    • Source code and a short handover
    Scope my AI build
  • Assistant on your own content

    Recommended

    from€10 500

    3 weeks

Best when the value is locked inside documents nobody can search.

    Includes

    • Everything in One integration, shipped
    • Ingestion for your documents, tickets or records
    • Hybrid retrieval, tuned on your real questions
    • Citations on every answer
    • An eval set, so quality is measured rather than felt
    • A web or chat interface, deployed
    Scope my AI build
  • Production AI application

    from€21 000

    6 weeks

Best when the AI is the product and it has to hold up.

    Includes

    • Everything in Assistant on your own content
    • Multi-step agents and tool calling where they earn their place
    • Monitoring, tracing and spend limits
    • Human review for the actions that need one
    • Load, cost and failure testing before launch
    • Documentation, a runbook, and a team handover
    Scope my AI build

Still deciding, or is the scope still moving? A paid scoping call (€400) puts the plan and a fixed number in writing, and is credited against the project if we go ahead. The thirty-minute intro call stays free either way.

How it runs

The same four steps every time, so you always know where it is.

  1. 01

    Tell me the problem

A few lines is enough. I read every message myself and reply within one business day.

  2. 02

    We talk for thirty minutes

Free, and no pitch. We work out what done means here, and whether I am the right person at all.

  3. 03

You get the number in writing

If the scope is clear after that call, the plan and the fixed price follow it at no charge. If it is still moving, the paid scoping call settles it first and comes off the project.

  4. 04

I build it, and you see it weekly

A working demo every week, not a status report. You find out in week two if something is wrong, not in week eight.

Questions, answered

  • Which models do you use?

Whichever fits: OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or open-weights models running on your own infrastructure when the data cannot leave. It is a constraints question, not a preference.

  • Can it run on our own infrastructure?

Yes. I have deployed on Azure, AWS, GCP and on-premise Kubernetes, including self-hosted open-weights models where compliance required it.

  • How do you stop it making things up?

By grounding answers in retrieved sources, showing citations, and running an eval set that catches regressions before your users do. Anything the system cannot answer should say so rather than guess.

  • Can you work with our existing codebase?

Yes. Most of this work is joining something that already exists rather than starting a new repository.

  • Do we get the code?

All of it, in your repository, with the infrastructure defined as code.

Let's talk

What must the AI answer?

Tell me what it has to answer and which sources it can read. I'll send back how I would build the retrieval, how I would measure the answers, and what a request would cost.

I read every message myself and reply within one business day. No sales pitch, just a straight conversation about your build.

  • Free 30-min intro call
  • NDA-friendly
  • Prototype to production

A few lines about the problem you want to crack. Even rough is fine.
